Amberley Castle

Amberley Castle is in the village of Amberley, West Sussex. It is a Grade I listed building and was erected as a 12th century manor house and fortified in 1377. Back then it had a stonework enclosure with high curtain walls, towers, a hall and a gateway and was used as a fortress for the bishops of Chichester. It has now been modified and is in use as a hotel. It's a unique piece of history and I would recommend it to anybody!

Cowdray Park

Cowdray Park is a country house at the centre of the 16,500-acre Cowdray Estate. It is near the village of Easebourne in West Sussex. The estate belongs to Viscount Cowdray, whose family have owned it since 1908. It is probably best known for Cowdray Park Polo Club, which is one of the leading polo clubs in the United Kingdom. Cowdray Park also offers many other leisure activities, such as a golf course, clay pigeon shooting and corporate activity days, as well as the more traditional activities of agriculture, forestry and property lets.

Arundel Castle

Arundel Castle in Arundel, West Sussex (England) is a fully restored medieval castle. The castle was founded by Roger de Montgomery on Christmas Day of 1067. Roger became the first to hold the earldom of Arundel by the graces of William the Conqueror. The castle was damaged in the English Civil War and then restored in the 18th and 19th centuries. From the 11th century onward, the castle has served as a hereditary stately home and has been in the family of the Duke of Norfolk for over 800 years. It is still the principal seat of the Norfolk family. It is a Grade I listed building.
